What is Covid-19 Test?
COVID-19 tests can detect either SARS-CoV-2 or biomarkers of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, or antibodies that your body makes after getting COVID-19 or after getting vaccinated.
RTK-Antigen
To detect the presence of viral proteins (antigens) expresses by the Covid-19 virus in a sample from the reparatory tract of a person. If the target antigen is present in sufficient concentrations in the sample, it will bind to specific antibodies fixed to paper strip enclosed in a plastic casing and generate a visually detectable signal, typically within 15mins.
PCR Covid-19
A molecular test that analyzes your upper respiratory specimen, looking fir genetic material (ribonucleic acid or RNA) of SARS CoV-2 is detectable if present. The PCR test has been gold standard test for diagnosing Covid-19 since authorized for use in February 2020. Reason to Get Tested?
If you have COVID-19 symptoms
At least 5 days after known or suspected close contact to COVID-19
For screening (schools, workplaces, congregate settings, etc.)
Before and after travel
When asked by a healthcare professional or public health official
What You Need to Know
Time Allocation & Appointment
Patients can go directly to the clinic for the test.
Patient Preparation
There is no specific preparation that needs to be done by the patient. Be sure to use a face mask when attending the healthcare centre and report any symptoms encountered to the health working conducting the test.
Registration
Please bring your NRIC or passport (for international customers) and any panel/insurance identity card (if applicable). It is advisable to check with us for the available panelship and insurance claimables.
Our Staff
Our test is performed by Medical Assistant and the sample will send to the lab for PCR.
Result
LABORATORY (PCR) TEST
• For normal (non-urgent) sample, the result will be ready in 24-48 hours
• For special request (urgent) sample, the result will be ready in 6 hours
RTK
• The result will be ready in 15 minutes
